Nelson Muntz would say: "Ha-Ha!"

Biggest loser at the 2012 Teen Choice Awards so far: The Sparkling Vampires (from that "Twilight" thing)... here's the winners from categories, where they didn't make it, and got beaten by "The Hunger Games":

  • Choice Movie: SF/Fantasy - "The Hunger Games"
  • Choice Movie Actress: SF/Fantasy - Jennifer Lawrence
    (won against Kristen Stewart)
  • Choice Movie Actor: SF/Fantasy - Josh Hutcherson
(won against Robert Pattinson AND Taylor Lautner)
  • Choice Movie Liplock: Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson
(won against Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson)
  • Scene Stealer, Male: Liam Hemsworth
    (won against Kellan Lutz)

Choice Book: Suzanne Collins "The Hunger Games" trilogy
(won against Stephanie Meyer, "Twilight" saga)

  • Elizabeth Banks for Scene Stealer, Female, against Ashley Greene and Nikki Reed
(UPDATE: Ashley Greene won this one...)
  • Jennifer Lawrence and Joch Hutcherson vs. Alexander Ludwig for Choice Fight scene, not competing against the vampires, but against Harry Potter vs. Voldemort (!)

And congrats to the winner of Choice Villain: Alexander Ludwig (Cato)

So, in the seven categories, "The Hunger Games" competed against "Twilight - Breaking Dawn, Part 1", the score is 6 to 1 - the odds indeed were in favour of "The Hunger Games", when it comes to this year's teen choices in the USA.

Two more awards for "The Hunger Games" go to:

  • Jennifer Lawrence and Amandla Stenberg (Katniss & Rue) in the category "Chemistry"

  • Taylor Swift won "Single by a female artist" for her song "Eyes Open", which is part of the original score from "The Hunger Games".

This makes a grand total of nine awards. Congratulations to all winners.

Nice performance extra: No Doubt live on stage, presenting their new single "Settle Down":
