Dancing my chakras... the nuddhist ~*Ganesha*~ Avatar

"Meditation in the nude is a freeing, liberating experience that if done with the right mindset, allows you a far greater sense of being connected to the world around you and a strengthened sense of self.  You can find many, many things to meditate on while meditating in the nude.  The feel of the air on your skin, the sensation of the material you are sitting on, the coolness (or warmth) of the air and more.  All of those things will help you gain a better insight and understanding about your own body."

From: http://thezenhippie.com/blog/meditations/nude-meditation-and-you/

"Nude meditation takes it all back to the first moment when you are still in direct communion with Spirit. There is no Armani suit to strengthen the self esteem. There is no shoe collection showing what a fantastic sense of fashion you have. It's just you and Spirit. Which, essentially, is where you always are but forget in the process of putting on the facade of the ego

Spirit knows you. Spirit is you and you are Spirit. There is no separation. Separation is an illusion. All the distractions, all the theories, all the messages that tell you otherwise are all constructions the ego comes up with to feel independent. These distractions are just that, distractions. Ultimately, they are all false. When it all comes down to it, you simply are.

You are not your body. You are not your mind. You are not the car you drive. You are not the heart beating in your chest. You simply are. It is called the "I am" presence. It is all there is.

(...) Nude meditation will make you feel self-conscious. It will make you feel silly. Move through these feelings, they are the voice of the ego telling you what you think you know. When you have moved through all the ego stuff, nude meditation will help you find your self. Your "I am" presence. Then you will know the one thing that is the truth... Love"

A sunny Sunday, shopping on a medieval market

Sunday was a fun day (not just according to that famous Bangles song), since I had the opportunity to get out barefoot in nicely sunny weather, with temperatures around 25°C (77F) in the shade and visit a medieval market at Broich castle, a former medieval stronghold.

Since there is a large park adjacent to that castle, I had the pleasure of feeling nicely soft grass underfoot. I adapted to the visitors (mostly either goth people or those dressed in medieval-style garb) by dressing in black, but still keeping up to my true name by wearing a black t-shirt with a Ganesha print on it. I had decked out all my toe nails in golden-glittery nail polish and was wearing my usual anklets and toe rings, too.

Here, I already tried wearing a bit of what I bought there as a possible new toe ring... more of my shopping booty later...

Of course, enjoying such a market also meant havign nice food and drink... the food part was covered by a typical Alsatian specialty: Flammekueche (the Alsatian pizza, so to speak) and for drinks I had several pints of mead beer (actually, regular beer with a large dash of mead in it... kind of risky in hot sunny weather, but I was fine).

Flammekueche - Alsatian yummy stuff...
Since I am invited to visit a party this coming Friday, with the hostess also being of the goth and medieval market visitor kind, I also shopped for some yummy beverages to bring (she announced it to be a BYOB event)... and so, here's the drinkstuffs I brought home from that market:

blueberry wine...
...quince wine...

...and honey schnapps (called "Hammer" for a reason... I sampled it at the sales stand. And 60 per cent alcohol content makes it the only inflammable honey product I've tried so far...)
Other than yummy food and drinks, I also found some nice jewelry items (rings, in particular) and a nice leather bag, which I can use as a stylish belt pouch (even though this is kind of an oxymoron, since belt pouches and/or hip bags are rarely seen as stylish).

my newest rings...

two steel rings with pentagrams

A flexible glass pearl band, with a clump of rose quartz and amethyst bits (which can also be worn as a toe ring, as shown above).

A funky brass ring with a walnut-sized dome of gold and turquoise pearls

A nice naturally colored suede leather pouch.

A nice barefoot Sunday day-out... and the market season has just started... the next one in my vicinity will be the "Mittelalterlich Phantasie Spectaculum" at Dortmund in about three weeks (June 16 & 17), also held in a park, therefore at another barefoot-friendly venue.

For that market, I will dress up more hippie-style, and certainly utilizing some of the nice goods I bought at Broich, too.

Nuddhism is happiness... Witness ~*Ganesha*~ dancing

Another skipocratic joke...

Another definition of irony: The webmaster of a forum that kicks out people when they vent their frustration about the account ban of friends of theirs, announces that his forum has just joined "The Internet Defense League".

That name sounds like "The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen", but, to be honest, Skip Stone is no Alan Quatermain and this won't make him a superhero, either.

And proudly presenting to have joined an organization "defending internet freedom since 2012" to promote the image of being in favour of a free web, free speech and protection of privacy is again quite ironic, when kicking people out of his skipocratic community for speaking up freely...

Oh, and he could have joined such organizations earlier, too, since there is the Electronic Frontier Foundation who has been defending internet freedom since 1990 - at a time when nearly no one had that net thing on their radars. Perhaps they just didn't want Skip joining their ranks.

Spotting Spring on a barefoot walk in the park - Sunday, April 29, 2012

Well, last Sunday wasn't just a prime opportunity to get my bare feet all Earth-colored and my toes delightfully muddy, but also perfect in general to get to the park and look for Spring in all its splendour...

I also was a day when I was happy to see, that the dandelion rebellion was still very much alive, in some places actively fighting the power by now having sprouted seeds, forming the beautiful puffballs, we love to pluck and blow onto as a kid, watching Mother Nature's parachute troops flying off to reclaim the streets some more... well, some adults love doing that, too...

Some humans are stupid... since "Do not litter" is not printed on the rule board, why dispose of trash the right way...? Sheesh!

Fight the Power!! Mother Nature Herself helps in spreading the dandelion rebellion!

All in all, a wonderful Sunday in my favourite park, looking at a lot of splendid signs of Spring, feeling various nice textures underfoot and also visiting magical places, like the one in the final picture... the barefoot picture before that is the soil inside that green dome, feeling soft and warm...

Happy barefoot May Day to all of you,

The Mud Puddle

Let's face it: you have to be barefoot to enjoy this kind of fun: playing in mud puddles, getting Earth-colored feet and muddy toes... I bet, Mother Earth giggled merrily, when I dug my toes into the warm and wet mud:

May Day Morning Nuddhism...

Yes, I did it again... and I know, that this will freak out one co-worker of mine, who cannot stand the sight of my naked body... sorry, pal.

Well, to be honest, I am not sorry at all, since I felt, that this was just the right way to greet the morning after Beltane Eve... a front of thunderstorms had passed, when I embarked onto a barefoot stroll down to my favourite park, and since no one was around, I extended the barefoot walk into a skyclad one, feeling a mild breeze and light rain on my bare skin.

There are people who think that nudity is something "indecent"... well, I believe that there are far more indecent things in the world than me baring my belly, butt and lingam - war, hunger, poverty, injustice, ruthless capitalism...

Natural and spiritual nudity - Nuddhism - should be legal and possible anywhere in the world.

Wiggling bare toes,
